Walt, here are my answers, as well as I can do right now:
1. All traffic lights should be timed, adjusted for rush hours, and with enough time for pedestrians to cross.
2. Cruisers--if you are talking about police cruisers, I would like more. If you are talking about individuals cruising, well...lots of cruising on Federal Blvd. goes on during Cinco de Mayo and similar celebrations. With the current police presence during these events, the cruising does not impact the neighborhoods so much, so I presume the improvements are good and permanent.
3. In Southwest Denver, I know of no parking garages or parking permit areas.
4. There have been so many questionnaires and debates that my mind is still spinning from all of them. I wish there were fewer, but it seems that every special interest wants their specific concerns addressed.
5. I wholeheartedly support Clean Campaigns and publicly funded elections.
6. I know nothing about this. However, if elected, I will host regularly (hopefully weekly) meetings in my office or in a central location where experts in a field (such as CDOT) are invited to speak with interested constituents; it will be a conversation, with facts presented, with new ideas solicited, with compromises discussed, and with any changes to be made suggested to me for City Council to consider.
